The Claremont is a 20 storey sleekly designed residential development with a tree top level swimming pool, summer lounge and winter garden in South Yarra.

Developed in 2011, it is located 400m from the Yarra River and South Yarra’s busy shopping and café strip and was awarded the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) High Density Award in 2012.

With luxurious shared spaces, noise insulation was crucial for The Claremont

Featuring Bradford’s high performance double metal stud Party Wall System 216, this separated stud wall system achieves an Rw/Rw+Ctr of 55/50 to ensure minimal noise transmission between units. The wall cavity infill is comprised of Bradford FBS-1 Bio-Soluble safe to handle Glasswool insulation manufactured in Australia for the Australian climate.

The ground floor lobby reflects the sleek, retro-inspired design of the building

The development has a total of 166 apartments, which include one or two bedrooms, as well as two larger combined apartments, a ground floor lobby and a communal winter lounge and summer deck on level 5. The shared facilities exceed expectations in regards to services and amenities. A high level of design integrity has been maintained throughout the development, from the sculptural stone of the entry to the highly graphic tiling to the pool.

For this particular system, the insulation was used in the following configuration: one layer of 165mm and one layer of 50mm Bradford Glasswool 11kg/m3 Partition batts.
