Class 6 buildings are typically shops for the supply of goods and services to the public, including café’s, restaurants, hairdressers and retail tenancies.
Class 6 buildings are not required to be protected against bushfire spread under Part G5 of the BCA. However, the designer should refer to relevant state legislation, planning policies, development & building approval conditions for additional requirements regarding bushfire protection that may apply.
