Class 10b are non-habitable structures being a fence, mast antenna, retaining walls, swimming pools or similar.
Due to the low risk associated with Class 10b structures, fire spread to such a building is not addressed by the BCA. Due to the open nature and low risk associated with such structures, they are also generally not considered to facilitate the spread of fire between buildings and remain relatively unregulated in this regard.
There are some minor limitations with Class 10b structures associated with other classes of buildings, however these restrictions or requirements are contained within the relevant clauses relating to the Class 1, or Class 2-9 buildings and are not specifically considered in isolation for Class 10b structures.
