About the Energy Efficient Homes package – free roof insulation

Did you know that you could get up to $1,200 worth of ceiling insulation for free? Simply call Bradford today on 1800 333 332 to see if you qualify for government funding.

As part of the Federal Governments $4 billion Energy Efficiency Homes Package, $2.45 billion is going towards rebates for installing ceiling insulation – to help make Australian homes more comfortable and energy efficient.

Under the rebate, eligible owner-occupiers, landlords and tenants will receive a rebate of up to $1,200 when they install new ceiling insulation in their existing homes and properties.

The rebate is paid directly to the company you choose to install the insulation (as long as they are on the Installer Provider Register). Given that the average cost to insulate a ceiling is about the same as the Federal rebate, getting your house insulated probably won’t cost you a cent.

Who can get a rebate?

The program targets homes whose main living areas are currently uninsulated, or have very little ceiling insulation. According to the Government guidelines, this is the case if existing insulation is at or below 0.5 R-Value – which must be assessed and recorded by your Installer.

By adding insulation, the average home will save significant dollars a year in energy bills. So what are you waiting for? Learn more about the government rebates and see if you qualify for free ceiling insulation.
